Inviting Team Members and Managing Permissions
This guide is for Practice Owners and Administrators. It details how to invite new staff members (e.g., Accountants, Bookkeepers) to your Receiptflow Practice account and how to manage their access.
Section A: Inviting a New Member
This process uses the Members section of your Receiptflow dashboard.
Step 1: Navigate to the Members Page
- From your Receiptflow dashboard, click the Members link in the left-hand navigation menu.
- This page displays a list of all current practice members, their roles, and assigned clients.
Step 2: Start the Invitation Process
- Click the blue + Add Member button located in the top right corner of the screen.
- A side panel titled Add Member will appear.
Step 3: Enter Member Details
In the Add Member side panel, fill in the following required information:
- Enter the member's First Name and Last Name.
- Enter their Email Address.
- Note: This email address will be used for their unique login via the OTP system.
Step 4: Confirm and Send Invitation
- Click the + Add Member button at the bottom of the side panel.
- The new member will immediately receive an email invitation to join your Receiptflow Practice. They must accept this invitation and log in to activate their account.
Section B: Managing Member Permissions and Status
Once a member is added, you can modify their role and access privileges.
Step 5: Edit Member Details
- On the Members list, find the member you wish to update.
- Click the three-dot menu (
...) on the right side of their row. - Select Edit Details from the dropdown menu.
Step 6: Update Roles and Client Access
- In the Edit panel, you can update a member's Role (e.g., change from Member to Admin or vice versa).
- Tip: Ensure you understand the permissions associated with each role (e.g., only Administrators may have billing access).
- You can also assign or un-assign Clients to this specific member, controlling which businesses they have access to.
Section C: Removing a Member
To deactivate a practice member:
- On the Members list, find the member to be removed.
- Click the three-dot menu (
...) on the right side of their row. - Select Remove Member from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm the action in the dialogue box.
Warning: Removing a member instantly revokes their access to the Receiptflow platform and all assigned clients.
